The Great Barrier Reef is probably the most well known among the
seven natural wonders of the world and is the largest living coral
reef on earth; its protection was assured by World Heritage Listing
in 1981.
Stretching almost the length of the Queensland coastline, some 1240
miles or 2000 kilometres in length , it is the only living "thing"
visible on our planet from outer space.
Snorkelling and diving the Great Barrier Reef on Rum Runner
from Cape Tribulation is one of the closest points to the Reef in
Far North Queensland.
SNORKELLING
Our pristine Reef systems are glorious in their colours and
diversity. Perfect for beginner and advanced snorkellers alike.
We supply all snorkelling gear required for a safe and enjoyable day
on the Reef. Wetsuits are also available.
DIVING
Never Dived Before ??? Well now you can !!!
We offer an introductory dive with no experience necessary.
Scuba Diving the Great Barrier Reef with the Rum Runner crew is an
unforgetable experience.
Completely safe and supervised by our fully qualified diving
instructors however if you have a diagnosed health problem then
please consult your doctor in advance.
Rum Runner at Cape Tribulation offers scuba diving adventures on the
Great Barrier Reef from one of the closest points to the Reef in Far
North Queensland.
If you are an accredited scuba diver please remember to bring your
dive certificate.
Please note:
Minimum age for diving is 12 years.
Second dive subject to availability.
All divers must complete a medical
questionnaire on board before diving.
Certain medical conditions may prohibit
diving in accordance with the law.
